The SAIL (Select Adventures in Learning) Program at MINDscapes offers a comprehensive blend of group and individual therapies in a classroom-style setting for ages 6 – 22. Designed to complement home schooling, SAIL focuses on advancing your child’s academic performance, social skills, and overall confidence. Program Highlights
Integrated Therapies
SAIL combines speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, behavior support, and social skills development to provide a holistic learning experience.
Individualized Plans
Each child's goals and activities are guided by their Individualized Education Program (IEP), ensuring personalized attention and progress.
Life Skills Development
Incorporating activities such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, SAIL teaches essential daily living skills to promote independence.
Social Hour
The final hour of each session is dedicated to real-time social skills practice, facilitated through interactive activities like board games and guided conversations.
Field Trips
Regular outings to local parks, businesses, and attractions help students apply public safety and daily living skills in real-world settings.
Program Schedule
SAIL operates three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday):
- Morning Sessions: Younger age group
- Afternoon Sessions: Middle school and older students
Cost & Enrollment
The SAIL Program is typically covered at no cost to families through the Jon Peterson Special Needs (JPSN) or Autism Scholarship, provided the child has an IEP. For children without an IEP, please contact us to discuss available options.
Important Note: The SAIL Program is designed to supplement, not replace, home schooling. It serves as an adjunct to support and enhance your child’s educational journey.
